Many of my new clients come to me frustrated. By the time they check out BDx Fitness, it isn’t their first attempt at getting healthy.   • Just because something is hard, doesn’t mean it’s the “best” workout. Sure, we all feel good after completing a difficult workout. And it is important to challenge our bodies in order to burn fat, gain muscle, and stay healthy. But, the hardest workout is not always the best. You should never feel like you are going to pass out or throw up from your workout. Muscle soreness the day after a tough workout is a good indication that your workout was too hard. Make sure that you feel comfortable with whatever workout you are trying to complete.
  • Use proper form and safety. When using free weights or machines in the gym, it is important to put safety first. It is very easy to injure yourself if you don’t know what you are doing, use bad form, or use weights that are too heavy. The supervision of a professional trainer can reduce the risk of injury and make sure that you are getting the most out of your workout.
